But it's a simple matter to limit the Inverter's potential current draw with a fuse or circuit breaker protecting the cables (and inverter).
My 1000W inverter is fused at only 60A at the battery. And that covers all my needs. The fuse protects not only the cables but the inverter, as it's pretty cheap and I don't want to push it.
