Yes to just about everything, except noise I think. The switching frequency is a lot lower than it is with LED switched regulation. I tried it with an AM radio (no reception of any kind here) and got just the usual uproar of static buzzing and distant lightning crackle.
I like the current regulation. Start low then dial in whatever the unit can safely handle. At 16.0 volts and 5.0 amperes, it wears the hat of an equalization modulator for 100-amp hours worth of lead acid batteries. Double the amperage for a pair of 100 amp hour batteries or a pair of golf car batteries.
It tamed the WFCO's wimpiness.
