Good to know that dreaded WFCO can be helped.
Roy - I doubt you will need this booster with solar controller. MPPT will keep the volts where they should be, as long as there is enough power to do this (read - as long as there is any daylight). Amps is a different matter, you can't boost both V and A at any given wattage.
With PWM - don't know. BFL likes playing with these things, I like them to just supply me with power :)... When there is so little output from panels that you need an external gizmo to help controller boost the volts - and there are some losses in the booster - to me it says you need more panels.
