Understanding the features that you get in any controller is important. When they are not present, you become the feature. No temp compensation means you have too change the float voltage in extremes. I don't need it while camping but in storage the rig will see -20 to 105f.
P30L has temp comp. Standard model has on-board temp sensor, and the remote temp sensor is optional. So this doesn't need manual intervention.
OTH, it needs to be manually switched from Vabs to Float, this is a big "con" to me. I'm sure this works for some people, though many will prefer something easier.
Morningstar SS20 - that the OP was considering with 2*140W also has temp comp, but only on-board, and its setpoints are not adjustable, and it's too small for 2*140W anyway.
C35 has on-board temp comp and optional remote sensor, and adjustable setpoints, and doesn't need to be switched manually from Abs to Float, and is big enough for 2*140W. I don't own it, but from what I know, it can keep Float at the same high 15V as Abs if necessary for some reason - Float and Abs are adjusted independently. I don't see anything of this kind and this amps rating cheaper in other brands - though there could be off-brand chargers from Ebay and Amazon. You pays ya money and ya take ya chance :)
