I too have an EU2000i and can do the same BUT whether we're intentionally dry camping or camping without shore power because it's failed I wanted the ability to instead power my coffee machine and toaster with the inverter rather than the genset as I'm an early riser. Running a genset mid morning is one thing, running it at 6 am quite another. :E
