We are 100% boondocking. Inverter to whole house. "Dumb" converter unhooked. Fridge and HWH on gas. Battery charging via solar, and if/when necessary, generator and external charger.

^^ +1. Same with us. Plugging the shore power cord into the inverter IS the simplest method, none of this rewiring dedicated outlets or transfer switch stuff is necessary. I suggest taking the microwave out of your plans. Then you can easily get everything else done with the 1000 watt PSW inverter you linked to.
It sure would have avoided considerable debate if the OP had included in his first post what he waited until the end of Page 2 to tell us - :S
" I've got a battery bank of 4 trojan T-105s ... "
and
"The trailer is parked at a location where I will have no shore power access."
Obviously this is a case where wiring the inverter "whole house" does make the most sense. And, if we'd known up front that the OP's source supply was 4 T-105s then it would have also been a no-brainer to recommend a 2000 watt inverter instead of a 1000 watt since the OP is so insistent on wanting to power a microwave oven. A classic case of too little information, too late. :R
