For $170 delivered it's worth a try if it's a solid unit. You overloaded it a few times. Did it recover without issue?
I haven't had it long,or tested it with much of a load, other than the two microwave failures. I don't have any appliances in there yet. The dvd player is 12 volt. That leaveds the tv and the fridge, if switched to ac. With the digital readout on the microwave, tv playing a movie off a thumb drive, and the fridge on, I'm pulling just under 600 watts. It seems to run that fine, though I haven't left it on long.
Edit: I just tried running the furnace fan (which I don't plan on doing) and the tv shuts down when accessing the semi smart features, though just watching over the air television seems to be okay. At this point, I think I'm going to return the inverter and opt for the 2000 watt version.
