One US Dollar sells for $1.25 Canadian, so it's really a wash- 3.69 x 1.25 = 461.
Hardly. Along with exchange rate add freight, brokerage, and any other customs fees the feds can think up and a product retailing for $100 US can easily cost twice that in Cdn dollars once it lands on our doorstep. The vast majority of RV related products are imported from the US and first go to a wholesale distributor who naturally takes his cut ... to that add freight plus any dealer's retail markup plus HST (Harmonized Sales Tax, 13% here in Ontario) and something that costs $100 US for an American could easily cost two to three times that here in Canada. You Americans haven't got the faintest idea how good you have it when it comes to buying RV parts, many of which aren't even available here in Canada because distributors won't import them. Quit yer whinin'! :R
