I saw them and even though Polaris is a good brand, they look like "badge engineered" Chinese brands like Kipor. They also have a red/blue price tag for something that is "yellow" (meaning Champion) in quality.
Where the rubber meets the road is parts and service. Ten years from now, will I be able to buy a high altitude jet, an inverter board, or some esoteric, but vital part? I sure can with a Honda. Yamahas are doable as well. Will I be able to find service? Honda, yes. Yamaha, possibly, although they don't have many generator depots (service places ship the generators to a central location.)
Polaris has a lot of service spots... but will they be able to handle these generators? If yes, then they might be OK charging the red/blue premium. I've not seen anything good or bad about Polaris's offering since the last time this came up a few months ago, other than noting the top tier price tag.
However, if they are not on par with Honda or Yamaha, one might be just better buying a Champion or Kipor, as both of them seem to be doing well in customer service.
