Poor design medicine cabinet - anybody upgrade?

I had a plastic medicine cabinet in my Avion C-11 and I couldn't find a replacement. I had a new cabinet made out of stainless steel and I used the original door. Since I could make it any depth, I used up most of the room in the wall which made it much deeper.
