Poor design medicine cabinet - anybody upgrade?

Is it made of wood? Can you screw some eye hooks into the sides ??
That's what I did to ours... a couple of eye hooks and a small bunge cord stretched across the front at the right height will keep things in place.
(I have my plastic hair clips strung on that bunge cord.)

On that lower shelf you can find a tray... like a single silverware tray (the kind that snaps together to organize an entire drawer... or go look at an office supply store for one.
