Having read this and other forums for many years it sure seems transfer switch failure isn't uncommon at all. :E When I first installed an inverter in my rig I ran it "whole house" and although I could have wired it in using a transfer switch I chose instead to just manually plug the trailer into whatever source I chose - shorepower, genset, or inverter. I've since rewired the inverter so it feeds dedicated receptacles in the trailer but I'm sure glad I avoided the dreaded "transfer switch blues". ;)
