- WE_CAMP2ExplorerMy water fill is also on the curb side so I often travel with a full tank and when I need to refill I use this container along with a 12v water pump.

Guess we've just been lucky (camping since we were kids, traveling 6months per year for the last several years)...the only hoses we've come across without a threaded fitting are for the non-potable water.
What did I learn? - wing_zealotExplorer

- DAS26milesExplorer IIFor the record. I have no problem refilling the FW with my 2 blue 3 gallon jugs at the campsite. It's just at the dump station AT THE POTABLE WATER on the dump side. I don't want to be there all day filling the tank with you guys giving me looks!

Thank you IAMICHABOD for the photo. I read there has to be no pressure or it will come off.
Use a worm drive clamp with it. - path1Explorer

Me either.
Sometimes I use a water bandit to connect my hose to other hose to my filler. Or sometimes quicker for me is to hook up my cheap 12 volt water pump. Pump in bucket, hook up to 12 volt, turn on water, turn on water pump to water filler.
Going a step further with gravity feed filler. We haven't used the "city water" connection in over a year. When we're set up camping I re-fill every morning. The water pump it good alarm for me anyways of any water leaks. Don't like to here the thump, thump, thump of pump when no water showed be flowing. - DAS26milesExplorer IIThank you IAMICHABOD for the photo. I read there has to be no pressure or it will come off.
- IAMICHABODExplorer IIIAbsolutely, I always carry one just in case, they work!

- DAS26milesExplorer III meant the potable water of course!!!!! I'm not stupid. I should have been more clear. But it's my fault for not using POTABLE and you guys are just looking out for my well being.
Yes, my gravity fill is on the passenger side. Also, not all of the potable water hoses I've encounter in my 14 years of RVing are threaded.
However, I did see Class C MH renters up in Yosemite filling their FW tank with the dirt hose at the dump. I advised them of what they were doing and suggested they dump the tank and go and get unscented bleach at the General store to sanitize the tank. They were from Europe and had a baby with them.
