I bought a new electric razor today. Directions said for best results charge the battery for 24 hours. It also said to plug the power cord into the razor first, and then plug it into the wall socket...

Back in the day o Diesel Electric Submarines I more that once watch Interior Communication (IC) Electricians check for blown Cartridge Fuses by licking the pinkie and pointer fingers and the strip in between across the palm.
Run the two fingers down each of the sides of the fuse panel and when they bridged the open (blown) fuse they'd "react" and know which fuse to replace.
Of course later on when I was on Nuclear Submarines I'd never let my guys do any such things...:R
