2-hours full to auto shutoff to me is astonishing. Brand new Toshiba. The VGA? connection on this laptop has 15 holes, and has tapered sides. This dinosaur is almost 4 years old and has the original battery, sort of neat as it still lasts 3 hours. When it was new the battery lasted 6 hours surfing the web.

as you well know, the laptop power use hasn't changed
it's the battery..that no longer has the capacity it once had..
