I start this generator monthly and would recommend that you use a fuel stabilizer. The feature I like is the remote start and stop and the economy mode. This generator may be a bit quieter than a contractor type but the noise is still pretty significant, all in all I am pleased that I bought this unit.
Tachdriver,
I think the reason yours works and mine doesn't could simply be because your rv manufacturer specified the a/c company put one in at the factory. Mine did not have one. My limited knuckle dragging research has shown me that most a/c units do not have one because the manufacturers of our RVs are of course worried about the bottom line, so a/c companies leave'em out to saving a few bucks per unit. So maybe only top end units get'em. Or maybe they rightfully so thought people would only want to use a/c in a rv parks 120, or order them with a built in genny. Interesting none the less.
I have installed two of these now, my 1998 13,500btu and a 2014 15,000btu a/c. Both of the schematics showed a hard start cap as an option. Thanks for the tip about the fuel.....I already learned that lesson with my lawn mower!
