Good point. Mex says to equalize at a constant 5 amps per whatever it was, but you can't do that a constant voltage-- you have to keep raising the voltage. So you end up sitting there for however long it takes twiddling the voltage up to keep the amps constant.
Meanwhile, I just set my VEC1093DBD to Equalize overnight and go to bed. It tapers the amps, no constant for Equalizing. The charger shuts off automatically when it decides it is done (time varies from a couple hours to several hours depending on whatever--the VEC knows, I don't :) ) and the SG is right up where it belongs afterwards. No need to be there as with a manual equalize, so you can do it overnight no problem.
OTOH, I can't get my T-1275s to equalize doing that, only my 6s. The T-1275s have individual max SGs for each cell and I can't ever get them all the same. Somehow they still do the job though :)
