I bought a Karcher ( 50ft hose ) with a Honda motor off ebay about 8 years ago. Nice unit. You must be willing to clean it out with fresh water per instructions to save the pump. Also use Stabil in gas. Cranks every time. Don't think I have ever changed the plug. Electric will not do the heavy cleaning, at least not efficiently. Or, if you only need it once a year or so, rent one. Problem with rentals you may get a piece of cr-p, plus you have to pick up, rush to use, return, and figure out how to use it :)
I also have a Karcher with Honda motor. Picked it up about the same time at Costco and it starts on first or second pull each time. Never had a problem with it. Have to grease the pump every few years but that's about it. Haven't found a job it couldn't handle yet. My father-in-law and I went in on it together as he has a large property and needed one as well.
After reading all the negative reviews on electric units on the internet (Amazon) I made sure to stay clear.
