SunElec.com also has great prices. Check with them about shipping, I don't think it is that expensive.
Back when I bought my original pair of 45 watt panels, 15 amp controller, brackets, wiring, instructions, and all - it cost $750 for the kit. 90 watts! In 1994. When I was making a lot less money each year.
Then in 1997, I bought a 75 watt panel for "Only" $375 or $5 per watt. THen in 1999, I bought a pair of 120 watt for $429. Less than $4 a watt! Now those prices seem very high, but back then, it was a great price.
I don't think that waiting another year is worth it. I figure that I have about $3,000 into my solar system, inverter, and extra batteries. I also figure that in 300 nights of dry camping, I saved at least $10 a night, or paid for the system between 1994 and 2004. In the following time, I have camped more than 600 nights using the solar system, saving at least as much.
And parking near a lake, or in a forest would not be as easy without the solar system.
