I would hesitate recommending this Dc to DC converter to folks whose vehicle uses the ECU to control the alternator field. That type of ECU regulation and monitoring may interpret a higher voltage as an error and reduce field strength to lessen the alternator charging rate. The error could send the ECU in limp home mode.
