PROBLEM REMOVING BULBS

I'd like to swap out my incandescent bulbs for LEDs. First off, I removed a wedge bulb from the 2-light chandelier over the dinette table. From what I read here and elsewhere the bulb is a 921.

I had bought the LEDs at CW, KaperII #52609 Day/Cool White 921 replacement LEDs. They are the corn cob type. I plugged one in but it did not work. No light. Any idea why? Could it be a 2-light fixture has to have 2 LEDs in it, so just one won't work?

Can you suggest a better style than the corn cob in a fixutre that shines down on the table?

I installed these LEDs in a pair of single lamp pancake ceiling lights in the closet. They don't produce very much light, maybe half of the original incandescent 921s, which are rated at 260-some lumens. I found a chart that says these LEDs are 215 lumens, but they aren't nearly as bright. Can you recommend a bulb that will pump out a comparable amount of light as the incandescents in an eye pleasing color. Thanks.
