OK let me run you thru my 3 step trouble shooting.
1) Oil level is critical on these machines. Take to did stick out and the oil should be at the bottom of the threads. Dip stick is worthless as per service guy but you can try it without screwing it in. Add oil and try again.
2) Check air filter, wash as per manual. They always look good to me
3) Change spark plug or clean the old one if you have the gear to do so.
You can dribble a little gas on the air filter that might cause it to crank, they also flood easily when you fill them. The tank vent is about 1.5 inches away from the fill cap, splash a little gas on the vent and that's it. This is based on my 3500 but I guess they are much the same.
I checked the oil level and it had gone down a little from when I changed it after break in. I topped it off to the bottom of the threads and still nothing. I’m starting to wonder if it isn’t the spark plug. It’s like it isn’t getting spark at all. If it is the plu, I can’t figure out why it would be bad after only two weekends of use.
