Problem with fridge heating up when traveling
I have a 7 cuft dometic fridge and it heats up when traveling anyone have any ideas on why this could be happening, freezer seems cold but temp gauge for fridge goes up when driving does not seem cold...

A common reason for temp RISE in transit is the drain tube system for the evap fins. Norcolds have a check valve, while Dometics have a plastic drain hose. That hose should be looped or given a p trap when installed but no OEM ever does that. I would block off the end of the drain tube and check the temp rise on next travel. IF the flame went out in transit, he would have a check light indication. It seems he does not have that problem. Doug
