procedure for applying wax and 303 Protectant?

It's finally time to wax the TT and apply 303 protectant as our first camping trip is a week away. Have not used 303 protectant before and am wondering what the recommended application process is? ...

I used to use 303, but its like pouring milk on it and about as effective.
