YES......things have changed since new ownership BUT still better then a TRC Unit
Not true - the EMS-PT30X(50X) are not considered by Progressive to be field serviceable, only the hard wire series (which I own) is field serviceable - open a portable version and you'll instantly void the warranty. That's why the company insists any portable unit be returned for repair or replacement whereas with a hard wire version they will mail you the parts required to fix it yourself. As for the Progressive being "better" you haven't provided any documentation to support that claim. So unfortunately, spreading this falsehood is in fact "internet folklore".
