I just installed a stand alone XANTREX 1000 watt Prosine True sine wave inverter... My inverter probabaly makes a better sine wave than my generator.
Just for the record, I'm pretty sure the Yamaha 2400 inverter generator is pure sinewave not MSW. I also think it's hardware is VERY similar to their 2800 series inverter gen, which I've connected to an oscope and have seen that the output was cleaner than our local utility, even under load. It looked virtually perfect.
