Progressive surge protecter / EMS and inverters

I was wondering if any one has noticed the owners manual for the EMS-HW30C, 30 amp progressive surge and voltage protector states to NOT plug it into an inverter? I am wondering if this includes ou...

This can also cause a problem.. Just so you know

IF the Ground is NC in the generator no problem
If the ground is connected to the frame in the generator, It MIGHT cause issues.

I know how I'd do it if I were building a generator adapter but I would rather not post as it's very non-code.
