Take a look at the furnace an it is easy to understand. Your vent outside is all of 18 inches away from the heat source and the squirrel cage fan. Your RV heat vents are 5-20 feet away running through unheated space thru a non insulated flexible vent pipe. How inefficient is that.

Also if your rig is old I would check those flexible vent pipes to make sure they are not ripped or disconnected from the vent grills and simply venting into the basement.
