I wanted to create a stand for the grill because some commercial parks don't allow grills on picnic tables (especially the plastic ones). A folding table solves this but I wanted to start minimizing the stuff we haul and have to set up. I grilled steaks on the ground and on my knees in Torrey, Utah, and I'm getting too old for that.
You all make valid points and generally in the direction of not doing this. I had not considered the fact that the 2 grills that come with trailer mounts are reduced-heat units, although I did bituce they warn not to use their mounting kits with other grills.
So I am changing direction of this project and will just make this bracket for transportation only. Thanks for your input.
