NOT TRUE at all. LP has always been filled to 80%. The CORRECT way to fill is NOT by the 80% valve spewing but by WEIGHT only. You can fill any type DOT cylinder in any position and if done correctly by WEIGHT, the tank will have the normal correct fill. IGNORANT LP fillers fill by spewing 80% valves. If the OP's tank was overfilled in sub 30 degree temps and never bled off, when he reached the higher 70 degree and up, the odds are the tank would have safety vented. VERY DANGEROUS to have this happen. Doug
