You might try and turn the propane valve off, then turn it ON very slow, then try the stove again. Most propane cylinders have an "excess flow" valve that shuts off if there is excess flow, and if you open the valve too fast, the valve might take that excess flow as an indication you have a leak and shut the valve off, then you have no flow. Your propane gauge could also be faulty and maybe you are out of propane instead of the 1/2 tank you think you have.
