Thanks shooted. That's a real nice setup. I marked those pages.

tell us more about the burned wires he's been finding. Internal to the P, or external, house wiring?
2. It's unclear to me whether Oldman is still just trying to patch something together for limp-home mode, or whether he's seriously considering embarking on a Rube Golberg approach
3. If you need a small inverter you can get one overnighted to your campground, while you wait for your Victron to show up in your life. Perhaps you're hesitating because you feel unworthy? Give in!!
Certainly. The burning is at the Pro's pigtails, external. Pictures wouldn't help all that much.. just a small blob of black insulation near a connection and some discoloration on white insulation. Years ago the Pro started acting funny.. 120v output would stop and start, then quit entirely. I found the Pro's AC output wires (stranded wire-nutted to solid romex) burned. I soldered those connections. The input side looked fine so I left it alone.
When I took the inverter out a few days ago, the output looked fine, but now the input side is burned. The neutral had a blob of burned insulation and the hot was becoming one with its wirenut. I'm pretty sure this started a chain of events leading to the Pro's Error condition and inability to restart. I was away from the coach when it happened. I was only gone maybe 20 minutes.
I'm going to try to 'patch it together' until I get home in a couple weeks. I'll probably get something around 600w if I can find it in Reno. This small Xantrex plugin isn't enough power to charge my large laptop computer.
If i want to pay overnight fees, yes, I suppose I could. Victron? Hey, I'm not made of money. I'm seriously rethinking this approach of using the inverter to play a part in starting the a/c, not only because it's unnecessary if the inverter is out of the circuit, but because the burned wiring may not be from that at all. It may be the result of running a toaster, microwave and a coffee maker over the years. (not at the same time)
