Protection from hail, any ideas?

Neighbor had hail damage. Hail broke their a/c cover, fridge cover and one vent cover. I was surprised what the price added up to replace the broken stuff himself.

We were talking some type of protective cover. Maybe put on a piece of alum or spray on some pick up bed liner stuff (out of a spray can, from auto part store) or ?

Any ideas what might work. Can't fly off when driving, low cost and protect from hail.

Soliciting ideas, any and all appreciated.

Thanks

(edited...also the hail damage didn't happen at their home, where they have a cover. Happened when they were out RVing)

  • I would consider Gorilla brand tape (duck tape) and thin sheet metal from the big box store.
May need several rolls of Gorilla tape.
Without seeing the damage, that's where I would start.
    Hope you get it covered!
