Protection from Power Surges-Electrical and Storm?

My Class C motor home uses 30 amps. What is the best way to prevent any damage during a storm or electrical power surges? Which surge is worst? What damage can happen in a surge? What can I buy to pre...

I agree with downtheroad's "brand" choice but I think you would be better off with their EMS unit. Hard wired or portable, they offer more protection. Check out the EMS-PT30C on the same link he provided.
