Don't forget that back in the day there were really 2 choices for a quality generator, Honda or Yamaha. Those times have changed and there are many nice ones out that folks have had great luck with and are not as expensive.
What I never will understand is why someone will buy something and then not take care of it. I am sure your owners manual would not say to store it for a year with old gas in it. But then again its yours so do with it what you will.
