PullRite and 2013 Dodge RAM

I am a fan of PullRite having had the 170 travel trailer hitch and the 16K Super Glide hitch that is until recently! My wife and I just purchased a 2013 2500 Dodge Ram Diesel. After contacting PullRite and emailing Mr. Pulliam I found that I needed to purchase the adaptor kit 4440 and was a little stunned at the price of $775.00. I had my local installer look into why the price was so high, only to find that this kit include pieces that I already have. When we contacted PullRite they simply said they will not sell pieces of the kit. The hitch sits on a rail system that has pins that go through the bed and locks into adaptors mounted on the frame of the truck. Since I have the 16K super glide that was previously installed in an older Ram I do not need the rails and just need the adaptor ends for the back rail and the Frame clamps for the truck. This has made me skeptical of PullRite’s tactics of maximizing their dollar value and not focusing on their customers’ needs. Has anyone else had issues like this through their dealings with PullRite? I would love to hear your stories and maybe your solutions!

I guess I got lucky. I had the hitch, rails and hardware but needed the mounting brackets for my F150. They gave the the part number, the phone number to a distributor and I had them delivered for $150.
  • I talked on the phone with them a couple of weeks ago. I had the rail assembly for the Pullrite trailer hitch. I needed the coupler assembly and the two sway bars. They quoted me $975. I worked with the seller to get some relief and he took the Pullrite back.
