Pure Sine Wave vs Modified Sine Wave for fridge

We updated our modified sine wave to a pure sine wave because I could hear the hum from the microwave CLOCK when we were on the inverter. Just the clock, we weren't even running the microwave. We sold our modified sine wave on ebay for about 1/3 to 1/2 of what it cost for the replacement pure sine wave. You likely wouldn't "toast it the first time" you ran the refrigerator but you might shorten the life of the refrigerator and maybe even some other items you are running on the modified sine wave.
