Pure Sine Wave vs Modified Sine Wave for fridge

Use a quality sine wave inverter like Xantrex to assure the harmonic distortion is minimal. Modified sine wave inverters have horrible harmonic distortion and could limit the life of the motor in the refrigerator. Most likely an audible hum will be heard while running. Modified Sine Wave inverters are to be use for limited duty cycle and not a permanent voltage source for the frig motor.
