Puzzeling thru a 12v to 24v solar upgrade

Thanks you all for the words of wisdom. I'll stay with the 12V setup as the easiest way to get started with these panels. When the batteries finally fade and need to be replaced I'll address the 24V question. I'm building an off-grid house in Colorado and would like to get some small scale handling experience with them before going whole hog.
