Question for knowledgeable solar experts

Something is screwy with the 2000w gen trying to run a charger on the batts running a 2800w inverter, which has how much of a load? (load not stated)

Somehow you need to break this down into understandable stages for what is running what when.

But you are right, this should not be happening, and could perhaps be solved with a little shuffle of the set-up.
