"I would look at the voltage gauge and it would read 12.7 volts and the charging light would be blinking green, other times it was fully charged and would read 14.2 volts."
Is it 12.7V because the Magnum has entered the 4th charging state - Namely it's detected fully charged batteries with minimum charge and entered the No Charge state? RTFM.
If the Magum is working correctly and the voltage is 14.2V then it's charging the batteries and they are NOT fully charged. What meter is telling you they are 100% charged? I'm wondering if it's calibrately correctly.
