QUESTION New Fords And Chassis Battery Disconnect

I don't think this is just a Ford issue. I saw an ad for one of those jump-starter things that had a connection for just that case of a battery being replaced.
I know the last time I had an oil change the tech said my battery was not testing as good as it could have been. So, I'm hoping it will last until spring and I will be figuring which socket is hot and how to use a second battery. BYW, I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado.
