I just finished one of the highest wattage LED lamp fixtures I have ever heard of - 300 actual and true watts @ 36 volts. Not even Hubbell offers a fixture with such wattage. Four 19-volt cooling fans - sealed, ball bearing and brushless. Now to adapt to a 24" cobra head street lamp fixture, with expensive Hubbell everythingproof 1,800 watt rated photoelectric eye.
CFE will erect it and they foot the bill for the power. One crosswalk across Mex 200 has seen the last of the dangers for the kids. I freakin' guarantee drivers will see 8-year-olds dashing across the highway.
The cobrahead forms part of the heat sink. I just had a CFE engineer review the project a couple of hours ago - he was amazed by the amount of light. It casts High Noon intensity over a 15 by 15 meter square. I hope it lasts a long time.
