What's Code 8952?
In the USA you call a tow truck get towed to a facility with more electronics than the Bridge of the Starship Enterprise. $5,000 later you drive out and head directly to the county poorhouse.
In Mexico, you call a tow truck (not cheap). The car goes to a repair facility. When they get done cutting, splicing and bypassing, it looks like someone took a hedge trimmer to the harness. Your USA dealer will NOT ship anything to Mexico even if you try and bribe him five hundred bucks plus pay for DHL or FedEx.
The car sits for months, OR you face a three thousand plus dollars tow job back to the USA border. Then you can pay another tow service for the privilege of paying that dealer five grand.
