OK and since you are charging batteries using a generator it is a good time to verify if you have a multistage converter that actually charges at 14.2+ volts. Many just trickle charge at 13.6 volts and will take 12+ hours to get a decent charge on a low battery vs 3 to 4 hours charging at 14.4 volts. Have your voltmeter ready for a test. Post the converter model number for what to expect.
