Hi. Thanks for following up on this point again. I missed it the first time. :-) My prior response that they were set to batt manufacturer was my error in recalling the settings we did for the magnum inverter/charger, when you were asking about the controllers.
The Vmmp is 18.5 x 3 = 55.5 input at max on each controller. I've got (6) 160 watt, 8.65A panels wired in (2) 3 panel serial arrays, running into 2 BZ controllers that are 50 amp/ 150 volt each.
BZ 50/150 has dip switches allowing selection of battery type - VRLA or Flooded, with bulk, absorb and float at 14.0, 14.0, 13.7 and 14.4, 14.4 and 13.7 respectively.
My batts manufacturers recs are bulk, absorb, float 14.7, 14.7 and 13.6.
My BZ's switches are on VRLA, so I wonder if using the flooded setting at voltages closer to the manufacturer make sense. Of course I can call BZ. I never looked at this until you asked.
