nope, if your not using the timed light control for eve lighting you have it wired wrong. :W
Darn, the factory has the furnace running off the battery, not from the solar controller. But I only use the furnace at night. I can't figure out what to do! I think my brain is wired wrong.
But, since you only run the furnace at night, it doesn't have any affect on the battery current the controller is reporting when the sun is up, so still no need for an external shunt.
