My BZ's switches are on VRLA, so I wonder if using the flooded setting at voltages closer to the manufacturer make sense. Of course I can call BZ. I never looked at this until you asked.
I'd use the flooded setting, your current setting @14.0v for 2 hrs likely ain't enough, 14.4v @ 2hrs might not be enough!
The only issue with the flooded would be 14.9v for 2 hrs ever 29 days.

I'll have to figure this out over winter. These BZs were not preferred and now I regret accepting them. I have a friend building out a school bus whom I may give them to, then get a pair of Morningstars or Magnum Energy has a PT-100 amp controller that I was looking at.
On a positive note, I do hook up to shore power and/or run my generator enough, so I'm sure my battery bank is getting to full charge regularly. But ****, 14.00 is so much lower than the batt manufacturer's 14.7 requirement!
The system does product more power than I'm using in my first couple months of operating, not counting the absorption refer on AC. I seem to burn about 175AHish a day or so and haven't needed to run my Honda 2000, except a couple 3-4 day rain events.
