Question on solar controller hook up?
I finished up most of my solar install today and I noticed an issue when hooking up the solar controller to the batteries. I'm using an A/B Both switch to control what bank or banks I want to run....

I think maybe the issue (if it even is an issue) is the sparking that occurs if one, say, plugs in a portable charger and then hooks it up to the batteries. Plus there's the possibility of the leads touching something or each other. It may be a thermistor issue as well? And besides, why work with live leads if you don't have to?
With a portable solar set-up, one could simply face the panel(s) away from the Sun until connected to the batteries, and then direct them at the Sun.
