The fact that no one has any info on customer service is a very good sign!
I have shut offs on either and I add even more of a bottleneck with quick connects on both ends of my 3/4" hose. I laugh each time I look at it and realize that I spent extra for the bigger hose and then quick connect it. down to 1/2" or less diameter!
I've pumped probably 1,000-2,000 gallons or more with my FloJet. It works a treat.
We've pumped through 50' of hose and even linked my buddy's 100' hose to it. We pump up hill just at the end to get it into the truck bed where my sewer bladder resides.
